Cat-a-Tonic

the song is "I Feel Pretty" from West Side Story

Lambchop

Lambchop came to live with us in November 1997 at the age of 6 weeks. A friend who's a vet-tech called me and said, "You have to see this kitten who just came into the clinic. So of course, I did, and had to bring her home - she looks so much like Tootsieroll! She's 11 months old now, and has become a beautiful, loving baby. I get more than headbutts from her - she nudges me so hard sometimes I bruise. Sleek, solid, and easygoing, she has become a surrogate mom to Mesh-Mesh. Honestly, the relationships that develop between cats never fail to amaze me - the ones you think are the least likely to be friends seem to pair off.

Sometimes, she'll wake up in the living room after I've gone to bed and realize I'm not there anymore. Then she starts crying her "Mommy where are you?" cry, and I have to keep reassuring her until she finds her way in to bed. If she's not sleeping on the bed, she's sleeping on the floor at the foot of the bed. More than any other cat in the house, she needs to follow me from room to room. I never seem to notice her trailing me, but whenever I happen to look around, there she is, lying unobtrusively in the corner, keeping her eye on me.
